Get close

If we hadn't gotten close throughtout the week, we surely did on the way back. We had to stuff 8 people and all the luggage in our mini van as we took the 45 minute ride to the aitport. Talk about TIGHT.

Overall the trip was a sucess. Not only did we do something good for other people but the 9 of us now have a bond that can't be expressed in words and memories for a lifetime!

Farewell New Orleans...

Leave it better than you found it

Dreading the clean up process, we made our way back to the house to get things ready to leave. Everyone pitched in to take on parts of the house to clean. Since the condition of the house was not the best when we got there, we were determined to make it better for the next group after us.

As we cleaned up and took leftover food to the neighbors, we knew the end was finally here. (in fact Kerri took a nap from all the cleaning)

Bitter-Sweet

As we woke up Saturday morning, the realization came that we only had a few more hours in this place we had come to love. After sleeping in past 7am, we made our way to Waffle House. Food was good but again the service was questionable. Some folks made thier last run to Sonic, while others were too stuffed to make that run.

As much as we were ready to get back, we were sad to be leaving(especially since it is a lot colder in MD). This moment is what made it bitter sweet...

Last Night in New Orleans

Of course we had to live it up for the last night of out trip. We went back into town to experience burbon street one last time. We were greeted with tons of people (very interesting people), food, drinks, variety of music and lots of FUN! It was something to see as we made out way down the strip.

It was agreed that we loved this city. It never sleeps out here on burbon street and there is something for everyone. The last night in New Orleans was spent wisely!!!!
